2024 Iberian Peninsula Conference
INVITATION LETTER
Dear saints,
We are pleased to announce that this year´s Iberian Peninsula Conference will take place in Torremolinos (Malaga), Spain. We warmly invite all the saints to join us for this time of receiving God’s word and blessing.
The first meeting will take place on Friday the 13th of December at 6:30pm and the last meeting will end at 1pm on Sunday the 15th of December.
The conference will be held at Hotel Meliá Costa del Sol, Bajondillo 11, Paseo Marítimo, 29620, Torremolinos. Due to renovations at the Hotel Meliá Costa del Sol, this year there are only 50 rooms available. Once completed, more rooms have been arranged for the saints at Hotel Sol Torremolinos-Don Pedro, (also a Meliá hotel) which is at a walking distance of 8 min. We request that the saints book accommodation at these two hotels to take advantage of the exclusive rate offered.
The deadline to register and reserve accommodation will be the 1st of October, 2024. The deadline for registration has been extended to the 20th of October. Please see the details below for further information.

INFORMATION
1. Registration
All saints attending the conference are required to register. The registration fee for the conference is 25€ per adult (18+ years old). This cost will contribute towards the meeting room hire, outlines, and other conference materials. Payment will be made online at the time of registration. Registration will be completed upon payment.
REGISTRATION FOR THIS CONFERENCE IS NOW CLOSED. THE CONFERENCE CENTRE HAS REACHED CAPACITY.
2. Dates and Location
The conference will take place on the weekend of December 13-15, 2024.
The conference will be held at the Hotel Meliá Costa del Sol, Bajondillo 11, Paseo Marítimo, 29620, Torremolinos (Malaga), Spain.
3. Accommodation:

Hotel Sol Don Pedro
This year the Hotel Meliá Costa del Sol is being partially refurbished, so only 50 rooms will be available for booking. These rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. For those who are not able to secure a room at Meliá Costa del Sol, more rooms have been made available at the Hotel Sol Don Pedro (also a Meliá Hotel), which is an 8 minute walk away, so please book with this second hotel once the rooms at the first one are sold out.
Unfortunately, the quota of rooms that both hotels set aside for our group has been filled and it is not possible for them to grant us more at the exclusive rate. However, there are still rooms available on Hotel Sol Don Pedro´s website, or via www.booking.com. Just Google “Hotel Sol Don Pedro” and you will be directed to the hotel’s website where you can make a reservation with the meal option that suits you best, or go to www.booking.com and search for the same hotel name, selecting the room and meal package you wish to reserve.
Unfortunately there are no longer rooms available at Hotel Meliá under the special conference rate. We recommend that those still seeking accommodation for the conference contact the hotel directly for updated information regarding availability and pricing, We also suggest searching for accommodation solutions in the nearby area with Airbnb or booking.com.

- Meliá double room rate for single use: 143€.
- Meliá double room rate: 160€.
- Meliá triple room rate (double room with extra bed): 211€.

All matters concerning hotel reservations should be dealt with by contacting the hotel directly. The saints helping to organize the conference, La Obra MSPI, cannot mediate between the saints and hotel regarding cancellations and room changes. Please find the hotel contact details at the end of this invitation letter.
4. Payment:
- Registration fee: Payment will be made at the time of registration via online payment. No cash payments may be made at the conference venue.
- Accommodation Payment: Those staying at the hotel will be charged to their card upon arrival.
5. Meals:
If you stay at either of the two hotels at the exclusive rate, you will enjoy full board: breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet (half a liter of mineral water per person included), from dinner on the day you arrive to lunch on the day you leave. Any food or drink bought outside the hotel is not allowed to be consumed inside the hotel facilities.
6. Children and Young People:
There will be meetings for children (aged 3-12) during the conference meetings. We hope that parents will join in with this service. Parents must be responsible for supervising their children at all other times. Young people aged 13 years and above attending the conference should be present in all the conference meetings.
THE HOTEL RULES STATE THAT CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE WITHOUT ADULT SUPERVISION UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
7. Translation:
The conference will be held in English or Spanish with stand-up translation. The conference will provide radio translation into Portuguese. If you need translation into other languages, you will have to coordinate with someone who knows your language to translate for you. Please bring your own radio with batteries and headphones.
8. Public Transportation to the Hotels:
- The nearest airport to Torremolinos is Málaga International Airport (AGP).
- The hotel is a 15-minute drive or taxi/Uber ride from Malaga International Airport.

10. Cancellations
Registration Cancellation Policy for:
- La Obra MSPI must be notified of all cancellations (via [email protected]) and, if it applies, Meliá hotel should be notified separately concerning cancellation of accommodation.
- Refunds of the conference registration fee can be issued up to 1 month prior to the conference. Any cancellation after November 13 cannot be refunded.
Meliá Hotels Cancellation Policy:
- Up to 14 days prior to arrival – the client can cancel or modify their reservation free of charge.
- Between 13 and 3 days prior to arrival – the first night will be charged to the credit card as a cancellation fee.
- 48 hours prior to arrival – the total amount of the reservation will be charged to the credit card as a cancellation fee.
- No-show: In case of “no-shows”, the hotel is authorized to charge the total amount corresponding to the room for all days reserved.
