Iberian Peninsula Conference 2021

INVITATION LETTER

Dear saints,

We are pleased to announce that this year’s Iberian Peninsula Conference will be held in person in Torremolinos (Málaga), Spain. We warmly invite all the saints to join us for this time of receiving God’s word and blessing.

The first meeting will begin on Friday the 3rd of December at 7pm, and the last meeting will finish on Lord’s day the 5th of December at 1pm.

The conference will be held at Hotel Meliá Costa del Sol, Bajondillo 11, Paseo Marítimo, 29620, Torremolinos. Accommodation arranged for the conference will be at the same hotel. The deadline for both registration and accommodation is the 31st of October. Please see the details below for further information.

Due to an improvement in the restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, current capacity for the hotel meeting rooms is approximately 320 adults, not including children, who will be meeting in another room (200 in the main meeting room and 120 in the overflow room). We are under contract with the hotel to book 65 rooms, which equals a total of 135 people staying in the hotel. For this reason, priority for assisting the conference will be given primarily to those staying in the hotel. Once the 65 rooms have been booked, priority will be given to those who register first, regardless of if they book to stay in the hotel or not. This principle also applies to any possible reduction in meeting room capacity. As soon as the meeting room capacity has been filled, registration will close.

INFORMATION

1. Registration:

All saints attending the conference are required to register. There is a registration fee of 15€ per person for those 18 years old and over. The deadline for registration is 31st of October 2021. This deadline is final. All registration requests received after the deadline will be subject to a late fee of 10€ and the special rate given to us by the hotel will be unavailable after this date.

The conference will be held on the weekend of the 3rd to the 5th of December 2021.

3. Accommodation:
The prices indicated below are full-boardper room, per night. These room rates are available from the 1st to the 8th of December exclusively for the conference.   • 125€ – individual room.
  • 140€ – double room.
  • 186€ – triple room.
IMPORTANT: Reservations and payments to Hotel Meliá Costa del Sol must be made through the link provided here. Please do no use any other method for booking rooms other than the link provided. Please also take note of the following points when making your accommodation arrangements:
  • Saints are responsible for finding their own roommates and should indicate the names in the registration form.
  • We encourage all the saints to register as soon as possible.
  • In order to obtain the maximum benefit of the conference and for the sake of blending among us, all saints are encouraged to stay in this hotel during the conference weekend.
  • The prices mentioned above are only valid if we reach a certain number of rooms.
  • There will be no charge for a child between 0 and 2 years old (24 months). Children older than 2 years old will pay as an adult.
4. Payment:
  • Registration Payment:Payment can be made upon arrival to the hotel at the conference registration desk in cash (Euros only)
  • Accommodation payment:Those staying at the hotel should make their own payment through the booking link provided in the conference registration form.
5. Meals:
If you are staying at Hotel Meliá Costa del Sol, full board is included: buffet-style meals of breakfast, lunch and dinner (a half-litre bottle of mineral water per person is included for lunch and dinner), with the first meal being dinner on the day of arrival and the last meal being lunch on the day of departure. Any food or drink bought outside the hotel is not allowed to be consumed inside the hotel facilities.

6. Children and Young People
There will be meetings for children (aged 3-12) during the conference meetings. We hope that parents will join in with this service. Parents must be responsible for supervising their children at all other times. Young people aged 13 years and above attending the conference should be present in all the conference meetings.

7. Translation:
The conference will be held in English or Spanish with stand-up translation. The conference will provide radio translation into Portuguese. If you need translation into other languages, you will have to coordinate with someone who knows your language to translate for you. Please bring your own radio with batteries and headphones.

8. Public Transportation to the Hotels:
  • The nearest airport to Torremolinos is Málaga International Airport (AGP).
  • The hotel is 15 minutes away from the airport by car or taxi.
