Iberian Peninsula Sisters´ Conference 2023
Dates: 10th-12th of March, 2023
The sisters’ conference 2023 will be held on the 10th-12th of March, at Centro de Retiros Betania, Ciudad ReaRegistration due date is 3rdof March.
The first conference meeting will begin at 7pm on Friday. We recommend that everyone arrives by 5pm at the latest. The first meal provided will be dinner on Friday. The conference concludes Lord´s day after lunch. The conference schedule can be found at the end of this information.
1. Who:
For this event, any adult sister, regardless of civil status, is welcome to attend. If for any reason sisters need to come accompanied by husbands or young children, each of these must register themselves by filling in the registration form. Having said this, the conference meetings are not for husbands and children, nor will any activities or meetings be provided for them.
2. Prices – accommodation and food:
- Lodging option A:
Full boardper personfor the whole weekend big house (MAIN BUILDING) from dinner on Friday to lunch on Lord’s day.
Adults: 75,00 €
Children (2-11 years old) 50,00 €
Babies (up to 24 months): Free
- Lodging option B:
Full boardper personfor the whole weekendin the family accomodation (FAMILY ACCOMODATION)from dinner on Friday to lunch on Lord’s day.
Adults: 90,00 €
Children (2-11 years old) 60,00 €
Babies (up to 24 months): Free
3. Payment:
Betania requires the payment before hand, so we ask the saints to please pay before the registration due date by a bank transfer, or ATM banking, to the following account:

4. Material:
“Lessons for the sisters”, 13-18.
5. Registration:
We ask that the sisters register themselves as soon as possible. Registration deadline is the 3rd of March. All registration requests made after the deadline are subject to consideration without guarantee of acceptance. Furthermore, there will be a 5€ penalty for latecomers.
Each person (whether it be adult sister, husband, or children) sea hermana adulta, marido, o hijos) staying in Betania Retreat Centre must register by completing an online registration form. 5. What to bring:
Apart from the usual, please bring the following items:
- The Holy Bible
- Hymnal
- Bedsheets with a pillowcase. Betania does provide duvets. Renting bedsheets is available (6 euros).
- Towel.
- Your own toiletries (soap, shampoo, etc.)
- Flip-flops for the shower
- It would be a good idea to bring a flashlight.

In order to arrive using Googlemaps on your phone, open Googlemaps app and search “Centro de Retiros Betania, Ciudad Real”; then, press “Directions”. The phone should then guide you to the retreat centre.
IMPORTANT: Each one is responsible of finding their way to get to Betania. Taxis are always available at the bus/train station. We encourage the sisters to travel together and to share transport expenses.
